Client is a proven leader in architectural cladding and glazing for over 30 years.
Project Managers are to
assume “Ownership” and “Visibility” of projects within the company. The Project Manager will be responsible for the expeditious flow of the contract as it moves through the various departments;
Estimating, Contracts Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, and eventual delivery to the field.
The ultimate responsibility will be to maximize the efficiency and profit of the project by purchasing materials under budget, offering value engineered options, tracking project schedule and oversee the disbursement of materials and men to a particular jobsite.
-- Development and Implementation of the project schedule, sequencing, & shop/field labor planning
-- Serve as Company liaison for GC, Architect, engineer, and owner for duration of project
-- Provide submittals and
materials consistent with scope/specifications and submit any substitution
requests post-award. Perform and provide any product testing and resulting submissions
-- Review scope and contract
documents Company shop drawings to ensure compliance with
-- Review of Material take-off’s and releases
-- Responsible for cost control (materials, labor, equipment, etc.)
-- Maintain cost-at-compete reports, billings, and billing projections on a monthly basis
-- Draft and track requests for change orders (RCO’s)
-- Issuing and tracking of PO’s and materials (Get multiple quotes to get best pricing)
-- Distribute and utilize installation manuals
-- Adhere to LEED requirements
-- Help with equipment planning and logistics
-- Written communication to general contractor, architect and consultants
-- Draft and implement trucking and loading schedules
-- Draft and propose lay-down schedules and plans
-- Generate RFI’s and communicate changes internally
-- Maintain internal check and balance systems (i.e. Timberline, logs, etc.)
-- Provide field support until final completion
-- Utilize a consistent preemptive approach from project to project
-- Exercise effective communication---both internal and external
Degree in Construction Management or equivalent; or 3-5 years’ related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience with a firm focused on metal facades or glass and glazing systems.
