Summary

Applicant is responsible for leading and supervising quality system and perform audits. Must be an available resource and liaison between the hiring company engineering/manufacturing facility and our current and future suppliers.

Responsibilities

-- Lead process and product on-site audits at current and prospective domestic supplier facilities

-- Assess capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work

-- Prepare and document supplier audit reports and supplier visit reports

-- Coordinate with multiple departments on the prioritization and optimized scheduling of supplier visits

-- Facilitate and work with approved suppliers on the first article inspections of curtain wall components

-- Knowledge of industry/regulatory standards to identify opportunities for improvement at supplier sites

-- Provide education and coaching on our team quality processes and procedures

-- Develop technical knowledge/capability to establish and sustain effective relationships with suppliers

-- Support the Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis efforts of our Quality team

-- Follow up with suppliers on quality issues that were identified at the curtainwall manufacturing facility

-- Validate supplier corrective actions submitted as part of our SCAR process

Requirements

-- Four-Year degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or similar

-- Two+ years of experience auditing suppliers

-- Multi-disciplinary knowledge of the quality systems

-- Knowledge of engineering drawings, and AutoCAD

-- Experience interacting with Quality Control

-- Ability to travel domestically 90% of the time

-- Experience in curtainwall and/or construction industries

-- ASQ Certification in Auditing
