Summary


Responsible for ensuring the profitability of projects and driving to meet the project schedule on deliverables while maintaining and strengthening customer relationships


Responsibilities


-- Initiate line of communication with customer at onset of project

-- Coordinate the shop drawing process and the engineering process

-- Keep schedule of deliverables relating to project needs and passing this information into a rolling forecast to accurately project billings

-- Facilitate support from and coordinate with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, fabrication, shipping, and needs of projects

-- Maintain detailed and organized records of all project related documents

-- Ensure scope of project is consistent with quote and project design needs

-- Ability to travel to customer facilities, job sites, manufacturing facilities, and fabrication facilities as necessary

-- Resolve application issues, field issues, and general technical issues promptly



Requirements


-- Ability to analyze contract documents, submittals, and application of systems to devise and define scope from very limited design input

-- Good knowledge of glazing products, design, and application

-- Must have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment, while being flexible to changing circumstances

-- Regular attendance, safely perform tasks, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures that are essential functions of this job

-- Preferred knowledge of the hiring company’s products is

-- Ability to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision

-- Preferred bachelor's degree in relating to construction

-- Three+ years’ experience in project management relating to building envelope

-- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Word

-- Must have the ability to write technical letters on application of products to mitigate potential issues

-- Able to negotiate in a fair, firm, and friendly manner

-- Must be comfortable interacting and collaborating with all levels of office and plant employees on an on-going basis

-- Knowledge of field installation
