Summary
Responsible for the successful coordination and management of projects from turn over to close out
Responsibilities
-- Determine Union requirements, prevailing wage, insurance program, bonding, length of warranties, drug testing, safety requirements
-- Determine approved manufacturers, material finishes, design criteria, performance requirements
-- Participate in job turn-over
-- Visit job site for evaluation determine conditions and logistics for deliveries and installation
-- Review scope within 2 weeks
-- Attend pre-construction meetings
-- Review and understand contract
-- Prepare for project: Make decisions on systems/materials, provide CAD department with all information needed, and bring discrepancies from estimate to attention of Department Manager and Estimator
-- Manage project: Prepare schedule on Microsoft Project, submittals and maintain submittal log. Formulate proper RFIs to customer, route subcontracts through contract administration, make sure installation is per instructions and company standards, and keep superintendant
and foreman informed of job status
-- Completion of Project: Provide contract administration with all required info, and cooperate in watching for final payment and deadline to
file mechanic's lien
Requirements
-- Understand Windows operation system
-- Basic knowledge of Timberline
-- Problem analysis and problem solving
-- Good project and time management skills
-- Knowledge of business and management principles
-- Basic knowledge of CAD
-- Minimum Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration or extensive equivalent courses
-- Extensive experience in all aspects of the glazing industry
