Summary

This position is responsible for assessing bid specifications and sketches, making sure that the required data is acquired to bid successfully and win the project. Applicant must constantly follow-up with subcontractors to make certain that bids are received. Estimators work closely with the Project Management teams to discuss bids and budgets
 

Responsibilities

-- Prepare in-depth estimates to our clients in a on schedule. Work from specific structural drawings

-- Attain sustainable margin and sales levels. Monitor estimated vs. real costs and work with leadership to adjust standards accordingly

-- Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to our clients, sales force and internal personnel

-- Maintain detailed and organized records of bid documents, correspondence, and other project specific information

-- Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of       this job
 
Qualifications

-- At least 5 years’ experience estimating glazing projects from architectural sketches and specifications

-- Must be able give in-depth take offs and estimates that incorporate different building envelope solutions

-- Understanding estimating computer software programs to compose estimates of aluminum glazing applications & their systems

-- Knowledge of glass, composite metal panels, and additional infill options and applications

-- Organized, self-starter with the ability to handle numerous projects, phones, prioritize workload and work with minimal supervision
